Lagniappe Law Lab is pleased to welcome Tequitra Gray as its new Justice Bus Program Manager. In this role, she will lead the growth and statewide expansion of the organization's innovative mobile legal resource program, connecting individuals and families across Louisiana with legal information, technology, and pathways to justice. Through the Justice Bus initiative, she will cultivate partnerships with community organizations, legal service providers, libraries, schools, and local leaders to bring resources directly to underserved and rural communities.

A Louisiana native, Tequitra earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University at Alexandria and brings more than a decade of experience in nonprofit services, behavioral health, family advocacy, and community engagement. Her professional background spans community resource coordination, mental health services, care navigation, program development, stakeholder engagement, therapeutic foster care recruitment, legal administrative support, and statewide outreach initiatives. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping people navigate complex systems and access opportunities that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

Prior to joining Lagniappe Law Lab, Tequitra served in a Louisiana 211 referral and care coordination role with United Way of Central Louisiana, helping individuals and families access critical resources while collaborating with community partners across the state. Through her work, she supported community impact initiatives, stakeholder engagement, volunteer efforts, and outreach activities aimed at improving outcomes for individuals and families throughout Central Louisiana. She also served as a Multisystemic Therapist, partnering with youth, families, schools, courts, and community stakeholders to address complex challenges and improve long-term outcomes. These experiences have given her a unique perspective at the intersection of behavioral health, legal-system navigation, and community support services, reinforcing her belief that collaboration and access to resources can create lasting change.

Outside of her professional roles, Tequitra has dedicated nearly a decade to volunteerism with the Junior League of Alexandria. She is passionate about strengthening families and communities through service, advocacy, and meaningful connections to resources, believing that lasting change happens when individuals have access to the support, information, and opportunities they need to build stable and successful futures.

When she is not working, Tequitra enjoys traveling with her family, exploring new destinations, cooking, gardening, and reading. Whether serving her community or spending time with those she loves, she believes that meaningful relationships are the foundation for stronger families and stronger Louisiana communities.
